A Woman Following God's Lead

Sarita Johnson is an electrifying, spirit-filled speaker who is taking needed messages to the nation. In her own heartwarming, comforting, down-to-earth style, she reaches your inner spirit through the effective use of practical life experiences. Sarita offers true spirit; peace flows from her as she shares compassionate support that has already touched the lives of so many.

One of the most effervescent, spirit-filled, and admired people in the industry, Sarita Johnson shares life lessons she has experienced in her various social service commitments and interaction. Her passion for helping people grow spiritually is evident in the hundreds she has helped to overcome obstacles in their lives.

Sarita is a certified cognitive behavioral therapist and has worked in conjunction with the former president of the Southeastern Conference of Seventh-day Adventists (SDA) to provide a healing ministry to church members who had suffered massive losses. She has served as the speaker for the Week of Spiritual Emphasis for several SDA junior academies, focusing on “How a Child Can Be a Witness.” In addition, Ms. Johnson has mentored youth in the establishment of youth-witnessing ministries and has conducted interpersonal skills training for numerous churches throughout Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and North Carolina. She became a member of the Christian Educators Association International in Dec., 2004.

She has served as a board member for the YWCA, as a committee member of the Faith-Based Network of the Urban League, and as a member of the Palm Beach County Faith-Based Coalition. Sarita has faithfully served as vice president of the Inter-Agency Network of Palm Beach County, the South Florida Youth Federation, and the South Florida Singles Ministries. In addition, she has served as an active member of planning committees with the Juvenile Justice Department in West Palm Beach, among other numerous local affiliations.

Ms. Johnson is the founder and director of Care Joy Inc., a community-based organization that focuses on personal empowerment and progressive techniques to bring about change in groups and in disadvantaged neighborhoods. Also, she has independently mentored and helped numerous youth to develop personal, interpersonal, and professional skills for life.

Sarita was elected in 2008 by her community to serve as councilwoman for the Town of Mangonia Park, Florida, and has already made effective changes in her community. For 18 months she co hosted the Dr. Jesse Walker Show, a blog talk radio broadcast that focuses on relationships that changes lives. Additionally, she has completed training to become a Certified Life Coach through the Coach Training Alliance.

In addition to “Focus on Healing,” Sarita is the author of an introspective peer-teaching technique, “Social Education,” which has a complete training certification program. Included in her productions are workbooks and CDs on “How to Love the Unlovable,” “How a Child Can Be a Witness,” and “Healing the Hurting.” As a graduate student of Andrews University Education Department she pursued her MA through PhD in Educational Leadership.

Sarita is a woman of enduring faith who believes in a limitless God who can do anything. She loves to look beyond the surface of an individual’s issues because “it’s an opportunity for God to partner with us to make change possible.”
